Having arrived unexpectedly in the United States after the loss of her mom to cancer, and other challenging conditions many years ago, Dr. Ranjbar has come to understand the profound impacts on health and well-being that immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers face in a new land, culture, and sociopolitical landscape. As such, Dr. Ranjbar has worked with countless other physicians and professionals to support this population's experience and needs. From evidence-based mental health evaluations, to resource identification and allocation, to trauma and stress relief efforts, Dr. Ranjbar is well-versed in strategies to support persons fleeing persecution, oppression, trauma, and loss.
